Has anyone addapted this module to allow recurring events?

I need this very much! I have at least 12 recurring events per month...

recurring events can process in the next version.

I'm starting a new thread which will include this question (among others) but I thought I would ask here, too.

What features will the recurring events use?

I mean, will it be simple ('every Friday', 'every second Wednesday', '12th of each month'), or will it be more powerful ('second Sunday of each month', 'Tuesdays, Thursdays, and alternate Saturdays') similar to NuCalendar (I think)?

I ask because I am the webmaster for an organization which holds meeting on the 3d Sunday of each month, second Sunday of alternating months, and an annual week-long event.  I have only seen one calendar which is this flexible for recurring schedules (I *think* it was NuCalendar, but I may be wrong).

while watching the new version I got an idea - maybe you can put it in.

If a user enters his/her birthdate on the profile, would it be possible to have a link that this date will be entered as a recurring event in the calender (category birthdays)?
